The curlew is a bird of stillness and patience. Often seen standing alone, listening more than moving, it carries a quiet strength. In this piece, the bird emerges softly from the surface, as if remembered rather than observed, a presence rather than a pose.

The original work was created intuitively, allowing the natural texture of the plywood to guide the drawing. Charcoal brings depth and fragility, while acrylic adds subtle weight and permanence.
